Spring is here, spring is here.
Well at least my tulips and daffodils think so. We had a few days of beautiful weather and up they came, then of course as it does in Utah, winter reared it's ugly head and we had a blizzard that knocked out the power for a little while. The good thing is that I am pretty sure the long cold days of winter are over and spring is on the way. This is why I love being back in Utah. I love the change of seasons. The anticipation of better weather.
As for the kids they are all busy and well. I spend way to much time playing mediator, or mom, between siblings that are arguing about nothing and yet heaven forbid if either will back down. Corbin just informed me that he asked a girl he works with to prom. Yikes!!! He is busy as ever and is being threatened with losing his phone and car if he does not finish the last few items to finally get his eagle.
Trevor is starting track, he needs an outlet so running should work. He is one merit badge away from life and then we are once again doing the eagle dance. Why I ever thought this whole scouting thing was a good idea, oh yeah, it was Denton's idea.
Kortney continually bugs me about dancing. She has decided that is her calling in life and will not be happy if she can't take a dance class. Ah the drama of a preteen. It is hard to imagine her going to girls camp this summer. She will be in young womens in May, that will be three children in the youth program. How can that be possible.
Trent is having issues with his behavior. I am not sure what is up with him but I seem to get a call from his teacher on a weekly basis. He really is a good boy, he just has a problem with cause and effect. If he takes a toy to school and gets caught playing with it during class time, his teacher will take it and throw it away, per his mean moms instructions, thus cause and effect.
Korinn is just as bossy as ever and her volume is always on high. It was funny in sacrament meeting yesterday. For the closing song we sang I am a child of God. That is her favorite song. She sang it with all of her heart. I was laughing at how many people turned to see who was singing so loud. I didn't have the heart to tell her to sing quietly, she was so happy to be able to sing the whole song.
I am still with Jetblue. We wanted to take a daily excursion down to California to see friends and visit the beach but the flights were full, maybe next time.
Here is my sweet and sour for the week:
Sweet: I got my shed put together, now I just need it to warm up again so I can put the yard tools in there.
Sour: I received two phone calls this past week from Trent's teacher, midterm grades came out and now I have to be mean mom to my older boys to get their grades back where they belong.
That's us for now, I will check back next week.
